Stafford Healthcare
In 2004, members of the West Valley Advent Christian Church began a weekly Sunday church service on-site at the Stafford Healthcare facility in the nearby city of Des Moines, Washington. Stafford Healthcare specializes in rehabilitation and long-term 24-hour skilled nursing services. The Stafford organization is committed to Christian values and has warmly welcomed us to their facility. Our services include singing, scripture reading, prayer, a story, and a short sermon. As most of the residents are in wheelchairs, West Valley members assist with transporting them to the service and back to their rooms afterwards. The average attendance has been 30 or more residents.
Take Out II Program Take Out II is an operation that works with the local area food bank. There are a number of people who need food supplies but have limited mobility and are unable to travel to the food bank and do not have anyone who can go for them. We feel this is a wonderful opportunity to make this a ministry in our community and be the feet of Jesus. We are called to help those in need and go unto them.
